Lonny Yarmus, DO, MBA, FCCP is an international expert in interventional pulmonology and thoracic oncology.  He is the Clinical Chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care and Associate Professor of Medicine and Oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.  Dr Yarmus’ research interests include minimally invasive device development, clinical validation of new technologies in the interventional pulmonary space and optimizing the minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer.  He has authored more than 200 scientific articles, guidelines, book chapters and editorials. He is the director of the Interventional Pulmonary Outcomes Group organized as a national clinical cooperative group for the purpose of conducting interventional pulmonary and lung cancer diagnostic research and clinical investigations. He is the principle investigator on multiple national clinical trials focusing on improvements in the minimally invasive diagnosis of lung cancer and device development.
