Head of the department of Thoracic Oncology, Pleural Diseases and Interventional Pulmonology at North University Hospital in Marseille (Aix-Marseille University, Marseille, France). Graduated from Aix-Marseille University (school of medicine) and board certified in Pulmonary Medicine and Thoracic Oncology. After a fellowship and an oversea experience in University of San Diego (California, USA) , full professor of Pulmonology and few years later named head of the department of Thoracic Oncology, Pleural Diseases and Interventional Pulmonology in Marseille. Beside an interest in the field of thoracic oncology, deeply involved in the management of pleural diseases through different international committees for major guidelines related to the management of several diseases as malignant mesothelioma, malignant pleural effusions and pneumothorax. Regional and national referent for asbestos-related diseases. Under the European Respiratory Society coverage, chairman of several international courses dedicated to medical thoracoscopy and rigid bronchoscopy. Future president of the next 22nd WCBIP in Marseille (2022).
