Internal Medicine Clinic Akta Medica | Thoracic Oncology and ILD

Chest physician, pulmonology and oncology subspecialties, PhD, Past Head of dept. for Thoracic Oncology and ILS at the University Hospital of Pulmonology, Clinical Center of Serbia. Professor of pulmonology/ thoracic oncology and Palliative medicine, Past Head of the Thoracic oncology for postgraduates, and Past Head of Palliative medicine for undergraduates and for specalization at the School of Medicine of the Belgrade University.

Author/co-author in over 370 papers, out of which 192 published in extenso and around 220 as Conference papers (abstracts), 72 chapters in several books, and Chief editor of 5 books, 3 of them related to Lung cancer: "Palliative treatment of lung cancer" 2007, “Non-infectious lung diseases” 2014, “Thoracic Oncology” 2020 - in press.

Mentor of over 20 magistered thesis, over 15 subspecialists theses and 17 PhD theses. Reviewer of several international journals and few Serbian, Editorial Board Member of JTD.

Participant in several international projects, few ERS Task Force, on Thoracic Oncology and Palliative Care: The European Initiative for Quality Management in Lung Cancer Care 2010-2013 -  National Coordinator for Serbia, ERS TF ‘Harmonized standards for centres of care and cancer registration in thoracic oncology in Europe‘, ERS TF “A systematic review and guideline on various aspects of quality in thoracic oncology care“ ongoing (coordinator for PICO Q6 Palliative care).

ERS Congress Abstracts Reviewer for years, ERS College of Experts Member 2016-2020, ERS LRPC 2018-2020.

Senior Faculty Member of the College of the European School of Oncology.

Organizer/Chair/(invited)Lecturer of numerous national and international Congresses, CME Conferences and Courses dealing with lung cancer, f.e. ERS Course on Lung Cancer November 2004, ERS  Seminar  on  Lung Diseases in Childhood and Adults 2006, EACTS Specialist Course endorsed by ERS May 2014, several Congresses and Conferences endorsed by ERS 2008-2019, ESO ESMO CEE MC Courses in Thoracic Oncology 2004-2020. PI of the local site in more than 15 Multicentre and Multinational/Global RCTs dealing with lung cancer.
